3. Amikor majd nyugalomra fordítja az Úr fájdalmaidat, nyugtalanságodat és azt a kemény szolgálatot, amelyet végezned kellett,
4. ezt a gúnydalt fogod énekelni a babiloni királyról: Vége van a sanyargatónak, vége van az erőszaknak!

31 Ne forduljatok halottidézőkhöz, és ne tudakozódjatok jövendőmondóknál, mert tisztátalanokká teszitek magatokat velük. Én, az Úr, vagyok a ti Istenetek,
31 Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God.
9 Ha bemégy arra a földre, amelyet Istened, az Úr ad neked, ne tanuld el azokat az utálatos dolgokat, amelyeket azok a népek művelnek.
10 Ne legyen köztetek olyan, aki a fiát vagy leányát áldozatul elégeti, ne legyen varázslást űző, se jelmagyarázó, kuruzsló vagy igéző!
11 Ne legyen átokmondó, se szellemidéző, se jövendőmondó, se halottaktól tudakozódó.

9 When thou art come into the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.
10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,
11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the Lord: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out from before thee.
13 Thou shalt be perfect with the Lord thy God.
14 For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the Lord thy God hath not suffered thee so to do.
15 The Lord thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;

23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.
14 Amikor a sokasághoz értek, odament hozzá egy ember, térdre borult előtte,

19 Akkor a tanítványok külön odamentek Jézushoz, és megkérdezték: "Mi miért nem tudtuk kiűzni?
20 Ő így válaszolt: "Kishitűségetek miatt. Bizony mondom néktek: ha akkora hitetek volna, mint egy mustármag, és azt mondanátok ennek a hegynek: Menj innen oda! - odamenne, és semmi sem volna nektek lehetetlen.
21 Ez a fajta pedig nem távozik el, csak imádságra és böjtölésre.
14 And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying,
15 Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.
16 And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.
17 Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.
18 And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.
19 Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?
20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
21 Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
21 Ezután elmentek Kapernaumba. Szombaton azonnal a zsinagógába ment, és tanított.

24 Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.
25 And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him.
26 And when the unclean spirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him.
6 Miután bejárták az egész szigetet Páfoszig, találkoztak egy zsidó mágussal és álprófétával, akinek Barjézus volt a neve.

6 And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Bar-jesus:
7 Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God.
8 But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.
9 Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him,
10 And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?
11 And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.
12 Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord.
13 Mert ti szabadságra hívattatok atyámfiai; csakhogy a szabadság ürügy ne legyen a testnek, sőt szeretettel szolgáljatok egymásnak.
16 Intelek titeket: a Lélek szerint éljetek, és a test kívánságát ne teljesítsétek.
18 Ha pedig a Lélek vezet titeket, nem vagytok a törvény uralma alatt.
19 A test cselekedetei azonban nyilvánvalók, mégpedig ezek: házasságtörés, paráznaság, tisztátalanság, bujálkodás,
20 bálványimádás, varázslás, ellenségeskedés, viszálykodás, féltékenység, harag, önzés, széthúzás, pártoskodás;
21 irigység, gyilkosság, részegeskedés, tobzódás és ezekhez hasonlók. Ezekről előre megmondom nektek, amint már korábban is mondtam, akik ilyeneket cselekszenek, nem öröklik Isten országát.
22 A Lélek gyümölcse pedig: szeretet, öröm, békesség, türelem, szívesség, jóság, hűség,

13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

Isten mindenható, legfelsőbb.
God is omnipotent, supreme.
Isten végtelen, az egyetlen Élet, szubsztancia, Szellem vagy Lélek, az univerzum, beleértve az embert, egyetlen intelligenciája. Szem nem látta Istent, sem az Ő képét és hasonlatosságát. Sem Isten, sem pedig a tökéletes ember nem észlelhető anyagi érzékekkel.
God is infinite, the only Life, substance, Spirit, or Soul, the only intelligence of the universe, including man. Eye hath neither seen God nor His image and likeness. Neither God nor the perfect man can be discerned by the material senses.
A Keresztény Tudományban az állati magnetizmus vagy hipnotizmus a tévedés vagy halandó elme konkrét megnevezése. Ez a hamis hiedelem, hogy az elme az anyagban van, és hogy az elme gonosz is és jó is; hogy a gonosz éppoly valós, mint a jó, és annál erősebb. As named in Christian Science, animal magnetism or hypnotism is the specific term for error, or mortal mind. It is the false belief that mind is in matter, and is both evil and good; that evil is as real as good and more powerful. This belief has not one quality of Truth.
Az állati magnetizmusnak nincs tudományos alapja, mert Isten kormányozza mindazt, ami valóságos, harmonikus, örökkévaló, és az Ő hatalma sem nem állati, sem nem emberi. Animal magnetism has no scientific foundation, for God governs all that is real, harmonious, and eternal, and His power is neither animal nor human. Its basis being a belief and this belief animal, in Science animal magnetism, mesmerism, or hypnotism is a mere negation, possessing neither intelligence, power, nor reality, and in sense it is an unreal concept of the so-called mortal mind.
Ebben a felsőbb hatalomért való végső küzdelemben, a félmetafizikai rendszerek nem nyújtanak lényeges segítséget a tudományos metafizikának, mert érveléseik úgy az anyagi érzékek hamis bizonyságán, mint az Elme tényein alapulnak. In this final struggle for supremacy, semi-metaphysical systems afford no substantial aid to scientific metaphysics, for their arguments are based on the false testimony of the material senses as well as on the facts of Mind. These semi-metaphysical systems are one and all pantheistic, and savor of Pandemonium, a house divided against itself.
From first to last the supposed coexistence of Mind and matter and the mingling of good and evil have resulted from the philosophy of the serpent. Jesus' demonstrations sift the chaff from the wheat, and unfold the unity and the reality of good, the unreality, the nothingness, of evil.
Az ön-megtagadás, amellyel a tévedés elleni hadakozásunk során mindent feláldozunk az Igazságért vagy Krisztusért, szabály a Keresztény Tudományban. Ez a szabály Istent egyértelműen úgy értelmezi mint isteni Alapelv - mint Élet, melyet az Atya képvisel; mint Igazság, melyet a Fiú képvisel; mint Szeretet, melyet az Anya képvisel. Self-abnegation, by which we lay down all for Truth, or Christ, in our warfare against error, is a rule in Christian Science. This rule clearly interprets God as divine Principle, — as Life, represented by the Father; as Truth, represented by the Son; as Love, represented by the Mother. Every mortal at some period, here or hereafter, must grapple with and overcome the mortal belief in a power opposed to God.
Egyetlen higiéniai rendszer sem tisztán mentális a Krisztusi Tudományon kívül...az egyiptomi varázslók igyekeztek utánozni Mózes csodáit. Az ilyen elméleteknek nincs kapcsolatuk a Krisztusi Tudománnyal, amely azon a fogalmon nyugszik, hogy Isten az egyetlen Élet, szubsztancia és értelem, és az emberi elmét kizárja mint lelki tényezőt a gyógyító munkából.
Jézus nemcsak orvosságok nélkül űzte ki a gonoszt és gyógyította meg a betegeket, de hipnózis nélkül, amely az etikai és kórtani Igazság-erő fordítottja.
A téves mentális gyakorlat egy időre látszólag talán használ a betegnek, de a gyógyulás nem végleges. No system of hygiene but Christian Science is purely mental. … the necromancers of Egypt strove to emulate the wonders wrought by Moses. Such theories have no relationship to Christian Science, which rests on the conception of God as the only Life, substance, and intelligence, and excludes the human mind as a spiritual factor in the healing work.
Jesus cast out evil and healed the sick, not only without drugs, but without hypnotism, which is the reverse of ethical and pathological Truth-power.
Erroneous mental practice may seem for a time to benefit the sick, but the recovery is not permanent. This is because erroneous methods act on and through the material stratum of the human mind, called brain, which is but a mortal consolidation of material mentality and its suppositional activities.
A patient under the influence of mortal mind is healed only by removing the influence on him of this mind, by emptying his thought of the false stimulus and reaction of will-power and filling it with the divine energies of Truth.
Christian Science destroys material beliefs through the understanding of Spirit, and the thoroughness of this work determines health. Erring human mind-forces can work only evil under whatever name or pretence they are employed; for Spirit and matter, good and evil, light and darkness, cannot mingle.
Evil is a negation, because it is the absence of truth. It is nothing, because it is the absence of something. It is unreal, because it presupposes the absence of God, the omnipotent and omnipresent. Every mortal must learn that there is neither power nor reality in evil.

Christian Science goes to the bottom of mental action, and reveals the theodicy which indicates the rightness of all divine action, as the emanation of divine Mind, and the consequent wrongness of the opposite so-called action, — evil, occultism, necromancy, mesmerism, animal magnetism, hypnotism.
The medicine of Science is divine Mind; and dishonesty, sensuality, falsehood, revenge, malice, are animal propensities and by no means the mental qualities which heal the sick. The hypnotizer employs one error to destroy another. If he heals sickness through a belief, and a belief originally caused the sickness, it is a case of the greater error overcoming the lesser. This greater error thereafter occupies the ground, leaving the case worse than before it was grasped by the stronger error.
Ha Isten nem semmisíti meg a bűnt, betegséget és halált, akkor azok nem semmisülnek meg a halandók elméjében, hanem ennek az úgynevezett elmének halhatatlannak tűnnek. If God destroys not sin, sickness, and death, they are not destroyed in the mind of mortals, but seem to this so-called mind to be immortal. What God cannot do, man need not attempt. If God heals not the sick, they are not healed, for no lesser power equals the infinite All-power; but God, Truth, Life, Love, does heal the sick through the prayer of the righteous.
A Keresztény Tudós orvossága az Elme, az isteni Igazság, amely az embert szabaddá teszi. A Keresztény Tudós soha nem javasol anyagi higiéniát, soha nem manipulál. Nem sérti az elme jogait, sem nem gyakorol állati magnetizmust vagy hipnotizmust.
A Christian Scientist's medicine is Mind, the divine Truth that makes man free. A Christian Scientist never recommends material hygiene, never manipulates. He does not trespass on the rights of mind nor can he practice animal magnetism or hypnotism.
A Krisztusi Tudós demonstrálja, hogy az isteni Elme gyógyít, míg a hipnotizőr megfosztja páciensét az egyéniségétől annak érdekében, hogy kontrollálja őt. The Christian Scientist demonstrates that divine Mind heals, while the hypnotist dispossesses the patient of his individuality in order to control him. No person is benefited by yielding his mentality to any mental despotism or malpractice. All unscientific mental practice is erroneous and powerless, and should be understood and so rendered fruitless. The genuine Christian Scientist is adding to his patient's mental and moral power, and is increasing his patient's spirituality while restoring him physically through divine Love.
Az emberiségnek meg kell tanulnia, hogy a gonosznak nincs hatalma. Úgynevezett zsarnoksága csupán a semmiség egy fázisa. A Krisztusi Tudomány megfosztja a birodalmat a gonosztól, és elsődlegesen elősegíti a szeretetet és erényt családokban és így a közösségben.
Mankind must learn that evil is not power. Its so-called despotism is but a phase of nothingness. Christian Science despoils the kingdom of evil, and pre-eminently promotes affection and virtue in families and therefore in the community.

A Tudományban az isteni Szeretet egyedül kormányozza az embert, és a Keresztény Tudós a Szeretet kedves vonásait tükrözi a bűn megdorgálásában, igaz testvériségben, könyörületességben és megbocsátásban. Ezen Egyház tagjainak naponta kell őrködnie és imádkoznia, hogy megszabadíttassanak minden gonosztól, jövendöléstől, bíráskodástól, ítélkezéstől, tanácsadástól, befolyásolástól vagy téves befolyásoltatástól.

Ezen Egyház minden tagjának feladata megvédeni magát naponta az agresszív mentális szuggesztióval szemben, és nem hagyni, hogy elfelejtessék vagy elhanyagoltassák vele az Isten, a Vezetője és az emberiség felé való kötelezettségét. Tettei alapján kerül majd megítélésre – igazolásra vagy elítélésre.
